Feed My Starving Children, 2008
We are really excited about year two of “Feed My Starving Children” for the
River Falls and surrounding communities.
The dates are set for Thursday - Saturday, September 25 - 27, 2008. PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDERS!
Because we turned people away last year due to our seven shifts being full,
We have added a third day this year. We will have 3 shifts on Thursday,
3 shifts on Friday and 4 shifts on Saturday. This will require 1000 people,
up from 700 last year and $33,000.00, up from $23,000.00 last year.
For 2008, we will have some form of semi-online signup. Generally,
it will be structured where each individual (each member of a family as well)
can sign up online or at your Church. The information will then be transferred
to our database offline and will be displayed online within a day or so.
The information can be viewed at any time and revised by submitting an
additional form online or at your Church. Again the database will then be
updated and displayed. We all learned a lot last year and feel it was a great success. We appreciate
everyone’s help more than words can say and look forward to successfully
accomplishing God’s work on this project in 2008. We would like to have a planning meeting in May. We are thinking a Thursday
night, but want your input. We are thinking May 8 or 15 or 22 at 7:30 pm at
St. Bridget’s Fellowship Hall. Would you please check your calendar
and respond by e-mail which date and what time would work best for you. We
would like to get as many as possible to this meeting. We favor May 8 at this time,
but need the date to work for most of us.
